I my experience, the flash uploader works flawlessly about half the time. The other half of the time about 4 files out of 20 fail, so then I push those 4 again, and then 2 of those fail, and then I retry them... and eventually I get there.

With ftp, I did what it took with my firewall so I could use ACTIVE mode (not passive) and that worked great almost every time. I would start an upload, go to bed, and when I got up it was perfect. The flash requires 'baby sitting'.

I find it interesting the when you go to upload, there are links for FTP, and there is a ling for LMA, but there is no link for FTPing LMA stuff.

In a related note... occasionally I had a case where something was wrong with one song, and I didn't realize that until after it was uploaded, and derived. I used to edit, put that one file up, delete all the mp3s, and DERIVE. Not sure how I would do that now if I needed to. I don't see a DERIVE button.

Joe, the derive button is still there...it's just one more click now. Edit item > change the information > item manager > derive. However, if you have a failure due to md5 mismatch or corrupt file, an admin has to rerun the derive.
